First sip

Crypto price action was boring this week, but builders kept building, which is exactly why it was worth paying attention. AI is getting practical fast and the gap is widening between people who ship something small and real and people who just collect tools. Creator payout products are improving. Clear rules and simple onboarding are trying to prevent the farming loop. Easier said than done though. And a lot of the most important crypto progress is still the unsexy stuff.

☕ Quick sip

This week on Coffee with Captain

  • Vibe coding only counts when you ship - the Roblox segment kept coming back to the same point: finish something small, learn what broke, then iterate.

  • Agents get interesting when they have somewhere to go - Otherside felt like a real sandbox because an agent can move around, run into things and build memory from what happens.

  • Creator payouts are getting better, but the farming problem is still the test - Xeet and the Pons segment land on improving creator cards

  • Quiet markets change what matters - when Bitcoin is chopping, markets slow down and look at what products are actually working

  • Tokenization only wins when it kills paperwork - the car rails and build slot examples were useful. Do these remove steps or add new ones?
